MPD JV is a joint venture between Fluor Australia and SKM to provide engineering and construction services to BHP Billiton.MPD JV have been employed by BHP Billiton to increase the Mining, Processing, Rail Transportation, Stockpiling and Shiploading capacities of the BHPB Western Australian assets to match the iron ore market forecast.

We are looking for an energetic, confident person with great multi-tasking skills to take control of our busy reception area at our corporate head office in St. Georges Terrace. Hours may be flexible for the right person.

The key tasks include the following:

  • Receive visitors to the project and assign them visitors’ badges for the duration of their stay
    Own, arrange and maintain bookings for conference rooms
  • Answer the main project switchboard and forward calls appropriately
  • Provide effective response to personnel and public queries with respect to status/where-abouts of JV personnel
  • Advise on status of stationery and other office supplies
  • Ensure maintenance of required office documentation and registers
  • Train, develop and mentor Admin Assistants in their roles
  • Assist new personnel on the project on administrative protocols, equipment used and related matters
  • Ensure that cab-charge, e-phone book (on Intranet) and other project registers are maintained
  • Make available records to demonstrate compliance with the Project Procedures during audits
  • Attend HSEC meetings to discuss health, safety, environment and community issues
  • Assist with all administrative services & support queries, issues, changes etc. requested by contractors and assist in ensuring a system is in place to highlight items involving a delayed response

Skills required:

  • Keyboard Skills
  • Work professionally within a team environment
  • Good communication skills.
  • Computer literacy skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure by prioritising work
  • Previous experience with mail delivery

Hourly rate is commensurate with experience.
Hours of work are 7.30 – 4.30pm.
