EOI - Attachment to the Deadly Yarns 4 Coordinator

CALLS FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST:
ATTACHMENT TO THE DEADLY YARNS 4 COORDINATOR

The Deadly Yarns 4 Indigenous Short Film Initiative provides financial and developmental support to WA Indigenous filmmakers. The initiative will select 5 short films, to be developed and produced and then broadcast nationally on the ABC Message Stick program. The attachment position will work alongside the Deadly Yarns Coordinator at FTI. The aim of the attachment is to give an opportunity for the applicant to develop their skills in arts administration and production support.

The successful applicant will be involved in the selection panel process of the Deadly Yarns 4 film projects; the organisation of the developmental workshops; as well as during the subsequent contracting and production process of the selected five projects.

Please note: As the Deadly Yarns 4 Short Film Initiative is designed to enhance opportunities and develop skills for Indigenous filmmakers in Western Australia, the applicant must also be both Indigenous and West Australian.

The position will start in July 2008 at an average of 2 days per week until June 2009. Please note: there may be peak periods where more than 2 days per week are required. Please send a current curriculum vitae and a 1-page letter outlining why you would like to have the opportunity to be an Attachment to the Deadly Yarns 4 Indigenous Short Film Initiative Coordinator. Include any relevant experience you have such as project management, arts administration and production.
