Wait staff – Function Rooms

Our Function Rooms require attentive people who enjoy working in a highly efficient team environment that strives to deliver superior dining experiences.

Responsibilities include:

• Learn and live our core safety beliefs
• Closely follow room supervisors instructions
• Formal food table service – put down and clear plates
• Beverage table service – opening and pouring wine and a variety of other drinks using a beverage service tray, according to responsible service of alcohol principles
• Reset function rooms – table settings
• Polish glass wear and cutlery
• Attend to light clean-up duties

Food & Beverage Attendant – VIP Boxes

VIP Boxes are open-air corporate seating. Stairs access these boxes, so, you will be up and down them constantly. It is a great way to keep fit. The working environment is loud, exciting and fast. The style of food and beverage delivery is not as formal as in other areas. However, our superior service standards still apply.

Responsibilities include:

• Learn and live our core safety beliefs
• Closely follow area supervisors instructions
• Food delivery from the kitchen to the client via custom made trolleys
• Beverage delivery with the use of trays according to responsible service of alcohol principles
• Handle dockets, collect signatures and at times handle payment procedures
• Prompt clearing of used catering equipment from boxes
• Reset area for the next game• Attend to light clean-up duties

Food & Beverage Attendant – Corporate Suites

Corporate Suites are the most prestigious of the catering services at Subiaco Oval.

As a Corporate suite attendant, you need to be able to confidently work autonomously, have excellent time management skills and have experience with food preparation and presentation, or, have a passion to learn these skills. Preferably, you will maintain the same suite throughout the season and build a professional rapport with your clients.

Your responsibilities include:

• Learn and live our core safety beliefs
• Offering pre-match food an beverages around the room
• Heat and present a variety of menu styles (prepared by our executive chef)
• Provide ongoing discrete beverage service throughout the game according to responsible service of alcohol principles
• Reset for the next game
• Attend to light cleaning duties to maintain your corporate suite

Porter

Porters are responsible for logistical support throughout Subiaco Oval.

This is a demanding role so you must be physically fit to be able to cope with high levels of manual handling and to work on your feet continuously. This role is vital as all catering areas rely on your effectiveness and efficiency to deliver the goods continually required throughout the game.

Your responsibilities include:

• Learn and live our core safety beliefs
• Storeroom maintenance
• Follow stock handling procedures accurately. Eg. Ordering, stock transfers and stocktaking.
• Deliver, set up and break down furniture requirements for each function area
• Deliver goods required in corporate areas around the ground throughout the game
• All manual handling be carried out according to company’s safety policy
• May be required to operate Mustard’s food delivery vehicles

Bar Attendant – All Corporate Areas

This is a multi skilled position that may vary due to the Corporate needs on the day. Duties can include basic bar, cash register and cash handling, efficient in opening bottles of wine, tray and floor work, restocking, stock rotation and general cleaning. Knowledge of “RSA” Responsible Service of Alcohol is essential (training is provided).

Kitchen Assistant

Kitchen Assistants are responsible for assisting our chefs with food production and preparation in our kitchens on match days. You must have experience in food handling procedures and be confident when operating commercial size cooking equipment such as salamanders, deep fryers and microwave ovens.

Dish washer

This job is fundamental to a smooth running kitchen. As a Dishwasher you are responsible for the operation of commercial size dish washing machines and assist with the organising of cleaning and storing of all crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment. You are also required to assist with general cleaning of the kitchens. Experience is not necessary, just bring along your work ethic and elbow grease.

Telephonist

Telephonists are responsible for taking orders from our VIP Box clientele. You need to have a friendly and professional telephone manner and be able to write clearly and concisely, as you are responsible for billing clients and finalising their accounts. You will operate a busy switchboard and therefore be able to work under pressure.
