The North Metropolitan Area Health Service (NMAHS) is the largest health service in Western Australia. It has over 10,000 staff and provides hospital, community and mental health services to more than 500,000 people in Perth's northern suburbs.

The Western Australian Government is investing more than $1bn across NMAHS over the next eight years. The QEII Medical Centre, which includes Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, will be redeveloped. A new hospital will be built at Midland while facilities at Joondalup will be expanded significantly. There will also be upgrades at Graylands, Kalamunda, King Edward Memorial and Osborne Park hospitals.

Job Description

We are currently seeking a suitably experienced Aboriginal male to liaise & negotiate with Aboriginal communities & health professionals in Western Australia for the development, planning and implementation of culturally appropriate Mental Health Services. The successful applicant will be responsible for counselling and support, community development, education and training services, and clinical/cultural consultancy to Health professionals, community based workers and other service providers. They will also maintain a small caseload of clients.
